The ICPE Endowment Fund was established in October 1982 for purposes of implementing the programme activities of ICPE, having in view in particular the needs of member countries, the promotion of postgraduate studies in the framework of the ICPE and stimulating research activities of the ICPE, with the aim to contribute cadre and institution building in developing countries.

The Endowment Fund was built up from voluntary contributions and donations from member countries, affiliate members and private donors.

The assets of the Endowment Fund represent a firm guarantee for continuous and unrestricted performance of programme activities, especially within periods when cumulative expenditures exceed the received installments from the payers of individual programmes.
